How do I place an order?
Please contact us using either the form on our contact page, or alternatively please call 07511 570 507. We will be happy to answer and questions and provide a quotation.
Why do I need a quote?
Each cake is designed individually for you, taking into account all of your requirements, requests, flavours, sizes etc. This means that it is not possible to display firm prices on the site. Please be aware that we will require a 25% deposit on booking to hold the date, with the remainder due two weeks before the date of the occasion.
How far in advance should I order?
For wedding cakes, we would suggest a minimum order time of 6 months, to ensure that your chosen date is free. For celebration cakes we do suggest a minimum order time of one month; again to ensure that your chosen date is free. If you wish to have fruit cake, then an order time of at least 2 months is preferable, to ensure that the cake has matured.
Do you do tastings?
We do do tastings for orders with a minimum order fee of £100. They are subject to a £25 fee, which will be taken off your order should you then place your order with us.
Can I have fresh flowers on my cake?
Cakes by Laura strongly advise against the use of fresh flowers on your cake. Many flowers are toxic, and those that are not may contain pesticides. We can offer silk alternatives, or sugarpaste flowers.
Do you offer cakes for those with special dietary requirements?
Cakes by Laura is currently unable to offer gluten/wheat/nut/egg/dairy free cakes
What size cake do I need?
Please see the below table for approximate portion sizes. This is based on a slice 1" x 1", or 1/2" x 1 1/2" of rich fruitcake, and 1" x 2" of sponge cake.

How can I pay?
Cakes by Laura can currently accept payment by cash, cheque (if presented with a valid guarantee card), or via PayPal.
Please be aware that we will require a 25% deposit on booking to hold the date, with the remainder due two weeks before the date of the occasion.
